The Greater Gardenside Association is hosting a community festival called ‘Gardenside at Sunset — Music, Dance, Culture, & Arts’ on Friday, August 23 from 6:00-10:00PM. This night festival will be the first of its kind in the Greater Gardenside area and will take place at the Gardenside Shopping Center (1801 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY). Well-known Lexington bands ‘Big Maracas’ and the ‘Steve Sizemore Group’ will perform along with dance performances from various cultural acts.

What’s a community festival without food? One of our sponsors is El Gran Tako and they have a physical restaurant location in the shopping center. They have great tacos — trust us! Doodles and Porterhouse BBQ will both have their food trucks setup to serve the attendees some delicious comfort food. We also have you covered when it comes to sweets. Bluegrass Kettle Masters serves the best kettle corn and The Soda Pop Shop will take you back to your childhood with their delicious floats. Queens Of Sweets & Treats is a sweet shop that will make your mouth water with their wide range of fresh and delicious sweets.

Gardenside at Sunset will also provide a platform for local businesses, artists, and non-profits. You’ll be able to shop for jewelry and t-shirts, talk to a representative from the local t-ball league, and meet your local shoe repairer. We’ll also have a variety of diverse artisans and crafters.

We haven’t forgot about the kids! We’ll have FREE face painting, FREE balloon twisters, FREE inflatables, and more! We want this to be a family event that’s fun for the whole family!
